Prodesina Journal implements a peer review process to ensure the scholarly quality, originality, and relevance of published articles. The review process is conducted in an objective, transparent, and professional manner.

1. Review System

Prodesina Journal adopts a double-blind peer review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the evaluation process to maintain objectivity and independence.

2. Review Process Stages

Initial Screening or Desk Review
The editor conducts an initial assessment of the manuscript to evaluate its relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, administrative completeness, and compliance with the author guidelines.

Plagiarism Screening
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are subjected to similarity checking using plagiarism detection software.

Reviewer Assignment
The editor appoints at least two reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript’s topic.

Peer Review by Reviewers
Reviewers assess the manuscript based on several criteria, including originality and scholarly contribution, relevance to design and humanities studies, clarity of methodology or design process, quality of analysis and discussion, clarity of visuals for design-related articles, and accuracy of citations and references.

Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor makes one of the following decisions: accepted without revision, accepted with minor revision, accepted with major revision, or rejected.

Author Revision
Authors are required to revise the manuscript in accordance with the comments and recommendations provided by the reviewers and editor within the specified timeframe.

Final Decision and Publication
Once the revisions are deemed satisfactory, the editor issues a final decision and the manuscript proceeds to publication.

3. Review Timeline

The peer review process is expected to take approximately 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the complexity of the manuscript and the availability of reviewers.

4. Confidentiality

All parties involved in the review process are required to maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript and must not use any information obtained during the review process for personal or other interests.

5. Handling Conflicts of Interest

Reviewers and editors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest and to withdraw from the review process if such conflicts may affect the objectivity of the evaluation.

6. Role of the Editor

The editor is responsible for ensuring that the peer review process is conducted in accordance with the principles of fairness, transparency, and academic integrity.
